Safety Issues:
Incident Logbook - Ed asked if the incident reporting logbook had been placed in the impound shed. Marlowe said he had an extra spiral notebook and he would supply it.

 Old Business:
Pathfinder Park Status  - The close cutting mowing has not been done due to weather conditions.
Charitable Giving – Marlowe gave a brief status of the YMCA and The Boys and Girls Club in Cañon City. It was decided to donate $100 to the Boys & Girls Club and $100 to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Marlowe will set up the handover of the two checks.
Financial Report – Marlowe hasn’t completed the 2011 Financial Report. However, it is obvious that the club spends a good chunk of its money on providing food to its members. For example, last year at the annual club auction, the club spent $58 for Pizza which is about what the club earned on seller's commission. Marlowe stated that he isn’t in this club to be fed meals, but for the flying field access and activities. Others disagreed saying that providing food to club members keeps up the interest of the club and adds to the experience. The financial discussion will continue and the report will be presented at the next meeting.

New Business:
Club Web Site – Chuck Stark has resigned from the club and has discontinued the club web site. Cloyce reported that he and Brad Kemper have been working on a Wordpress.com club site. Marlowe has also done a club prototype on Blogspot.com and he is sharing it with Cloyce & Brad. His prototype is at http://fremontrc.blogspot.com/
Auctions – Mark brought up the JEFCO auction on Feb. 4 & 5. He and Ed are planning on attending. Marlowe reported that Sky Corral is having their annual auction on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at 6:30 PM and anyone is invited. This year it will be held at the Pueblo Aircraft Museum. The Fremont RC will hold our auction at our meeting on March 2nd.
Field Marshal – President Ed Vincent appointed Mark Sullivan as the club’s Field Marshal. Mark is responsible for the maintenance of our airfields and club facilities. New member Buzz remarked that he was surprised as to the sorry state of our runway. Bill Worthen, Sr. said that painting the buildings and picnic tables has been neglected for years. We had a long discussion on what needs to be done to improve the runway including using Petromat as a surface.
Membership – Marlowe collected 2012 club from seven members at the meeting. He read off the list of members who weren’t current with their 2012 AMA membership. Our lease with the Fremont Airport requires AMA insurance for all R/C flyers.
Gate Combination – It was decided that it was a good practice to change the combination at the start of every year. The combination will only be released to members who are 2012 members and AMA current.

Note: Mark changed the locks at the flying session on Saturday 1/7/12 and Marlowe Emailed the combo to all the paid up 2012 club members who are AMA 2012 current.

Fund Raising – Ed opened up a discussion asking the question … What can we do in the way of fundraising? How can we increase our funds? Suggestions were to increase dues, cut down on food spending, increase membership, advertise more [we will start running a meeting announcement in the Shopper], and having fund raising at our flying events. Also there was a discussion as to what funding needs we have.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
Marlowe D. Cassetti, Secretary/Treasurer
Fremont R/C Flying Club
